From the 1985 Cd, "Everybody's Crazy". This is when Michael Bolton was cool yet. A very under rated song.

Can you imagine Christina Aguilera sounding like this in a supergroup with members of the Donnas and Sahara Hotnights? I think not.

Saw him in '83 in Minneapolis when he was opening for Seger on The Distance tour. Bolton's big tune at the time was "Fool's Game." I like this one much better than "Fools Game" and played it a lot at my first radio job when it was released...

Definitely. The only reason Bolton is disliked by some is his cheesy contemporary music.

I guess Bolotin saw that he wasn't going to become a success as a rocker and so became a balladeer. Even as a balladeer I think Bolton is treated a bit harshly by critics. It's actually sad that Blackjack broke up after only 2 albums. Their first album is one of the most solidly consistent commercial rock albums I've ever heard. I don't claim to be an expert, but I think if they had kept going as Blackjack or at least as a band rather than a soloist+band, Bolotin would have kept credibility.

I agree, this is a Michael Bolton that people should be made aware of, not to mention, Bolton when he was the singer in Blackjack ('79-'81). He still went by his real name, Michael Bolotin at that time also.

@fukinguitar Actually it was after Ronnie left Sabbath in 1983 when Bolton auditioned for the band, after Iommi was turned down by David Coverdale because of contractual obligations. By that time he was already going by the name Bolton.

@gbranton Well, that I know. I used to own both albums by Blackjack.
