Yep...another american re-writing history. Fred Perry was an english tennis player, and it was MODS that made his shirts popular. Mods never "borrowed" anything. They did take things that nobody else had noticed and make them fashionable though Fishtail parkas, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, Vespas and Lambrettas are but a few examples. And isn't the whole rest of the world the "53rd state"...at least according to americans. You really are funny people...

I saw some American "mods" in San Francisco a few years back and they had dirty great big beards and 'taches, they looked ridiculous. A few let on to me cos I was wearing a WHO t shirt but I just bloody laughed at them. How can anyone outside the UK understand MOD? It's like us with American Football - don't get it and shit at it.
