I remember seeing The Merton Parkas playing at the Carshalton Carnival in 1979(ish). The local organisers cleverly also had The Sceptics on the same line up. Unfotumately, this was a local skinhead band. The 'difference of views' displayed by followers of the opposing sets of music followers was met with surprise by the same organisers. Knobs.

it's no big deal. i don't think i've ever lost sleep over it - we've done the same to better bands than us. we died in front of a Variations home crowd up the west end once and then went on to do a Jam support at Ally Pally a few months later. all swings and roundabouts. and there ain't many people talking about RSG getting back together these days are there? ;-)
