In my opinion Chris Poland was the best guitarrist that Megadeth could have, he was better than Mustaine

Chris Boderick is a great guitar player. MASTER FRIEDMAN IS A GENIUS. MR. FRIEDMAN IS THE MASTER. CHRIS POLAND SUCKS.

And the word "soul" is bullshit. Everyone who loves playing their instrument has "soul".

They are exeptional, but my favorite Megadeth guitarrist is Chris Poland.

Touche, a valid response. I hate people who just shout Marty is better than Chris without backing up their argument!

i never said that Chris isn't an Exceptional guitar player, because he is! don't get me wrong, hes fucking insane. But Marty adds more "flavor" to his playing, theres more feeling in each note that he bursts out, there is feeling in his solos, but they just sound kind of robotic, because hes a 00's guitar player, hes not an 80's hes alot more technical than marty, but marty was the in megadeth during their peak era, which is why he cant be replaced.

That's a very ignorant thing to say. Chris and Marty are both exceptional guitarists. Just because Marty used to make faces and dance around whilst soloing does not mean he has more soul than Chris. Just look at some of the stuff Chris did outside of Megadeth: like his time in Jag Panzer and Nevermore or his acoustic sessions, Chris' solos are a lot more technically challenging than Martys and so maybe offers a reason why he doesn't show emotion whilst playing them. Both are awesome guitarists.

Chris's style is aggressive and rapid and memorable such as in Sudden Death, How the Story Ends, Headcrusher, Public Enemy for examples, Marty is not the same style. How can you possibly compare the two? Chris is not meant to sound like 'I Will Always Love You' because the rhythm he bases his leads on are meant to sound destructive. On the other hand Marty's albums with Megadeth just got worse consecutively. If you want to pick on a guitar player's abilities, don't pick on virtuosos. Period.

The stuff marty has done since he left Megadeth is good, but it isnt the same. Broderick is a very fast player, very fast, but he has no soul to what he is playing... Risk was a risk, but look at all the other stuff he made with Megadeth, nobody can truly replace him.

I don't miss Marty, unless you want Risk or Fanta 2 lol, it's wiser to not mention him that way.

Broderick doesnt have even NEAR as much soul as Marty did, Broderick is just a Machine...
