Mary Margaret O'Hara is practically impossible to describe. In a better world than this one she'd probably be famous instead of known to just a few people. She's only released one album "Miss America".

This is from a promotional videotape many years ago. The video looks like it was made by Matt Mahurin.

There is no one that sounds like M2O'H ... no one to compare her to. I have been a huge fan since the first time I heard her album - but I never saw this video before - Thank you for posting it.

I hung out with this gem a few times. She's great to talk to. What an original talent. She's not for the brainwashed masses, she's for the observant with minds and ears of their own.

A stunning CD, no compression, backgrounds are totally black; just a great recording. No other CD like it. I bought my copy right after it was released and kept until maybe 2 years ago.

Fascinante... Body's in trouble. Disfrútalo!

Google her name followed by "Q tv" to see recent interviews with her Thanks for this, k8fan, this is the video I taped from TV back in around 1989 and gave to some friends. The guy, a very burly "mountain man" type (a horse logger) memorized all the moves in this video perfectly - I would have thought that was impossible - and "replayed it for me later, to my astonishment. I think M M O'Hara is utterly unique and yet another unsung national (or global) treasure.

Just saw her in the film "Museum Hours," which was astonishing. My wife and I were gobsmacked when the credits revealed she'd written the songs she sang in the film, I'd never heard of her music before. Glad I found out!

I remember the flack I got from my friends when I bought her cassette sooooooooo many years ago! But screw 'em! Just as redshafted said, "pure class"! I've loved this album for years and so grateful that a recent romp through my music collection reminded me of such an inspiring and beautiful album!
