Mac did a concert at the Monte Carlo beach club,think it was around 1980,I got the concert by mistake on VHS when I taped a Clint Eastwood movie one night and left the video recorder running,it was an incredible concert,would of loved to have got a copy of the concert on DVD but alas it was never released,pity really.

@mdstmprs - It's not "shallow" - that would mean there is no thought behind it and no sincerity. It IS "simple" - but that's what makes it lovely. And the sentiment, btw, is pretty amazing - love, music, caring. If anyone tried to sing something like this today, he'd be knifed.

I have always loved this song. Such a talent. Does anyone out there have Memories sung by Mac? He wrote it and has performed it live in Phoenix but I dont have it on CD or tape. Sure'd love to find it.

I always liked this song as kid. So did my mom. But now, i'm left wondering what exactly does "believing in music" actually mean? It seems to be a rather shallow message. Shallow pop songs from the 70's? Who'd'a thought? Still, it sure is catchy!
