I love oldies and I am also an oldie trivia freak. That being said, can anyone tell me what this junkyard video has to do with this song?

A very enjoyable video, yet strange -- contrasting the upbeat and positive pop song with a shabby, gray English wrecking yard. Maybe that tension is what the video producers were trying to achieve -- or perhaps it was just that the wrecking yard required no filming permits?

Joe Barry, NO I have never forgotten Lou Christie! I read somewhere that he was a 'copycat of Frankie Valli, when he is clearly a great talent in his own right. This is one of favorite songs by him. I was 9 years old when this was released, but my parents listened to all kinds of music, so I was fortunate enough to be exposed to his songs at an early age. And I still remember him!
