So here's a song my homie Jimmy Pescolla wrote for his favorite World Cup team: the mighty Colombia. Though he roots a little for Cameroon too.
Funny thing is - and maybe good omen too - while we were recording the song, Colombia proceeded to win its match against Ivory Coast, scoring 2 goals to 1. Mr. Snacktime is now seriously thinking about submitting the song to the Colombian government as a new national anthem - tough I think it would make a good theme song for a football TV program and such.
Here are the lyrics:
last night I dreamt that Colombia had won the Cup
I saw them running through the green yards
with their maillots jaunes
it was an evening of july
the day they made sad and crying
the pentacampeao
You can see a Vatican City flag in the background for no particular reason. Also you can see why I never play solos on uke - the reason being: I don't have the slightest idea how solos on uke are played. I literally didn't know what I was doing, but hey, rock'n'roll.
I'm playing a MahiMahi 77g. May the spirit of Carlos Valderrama watch over you.
