So, I've been watching this series Vikings - which is kinda awesome by the way - and the song in the title sequence immediately struck me. A sort of gloomy, eerie sea shanty.
I'm a long time fan of The Knife, the creepy-northern-electronic duo, and I knew right away they had a hand in it - their sound is pretty much unique.
Turns out it's a song by Fever Ray, which is the solo project by the female half of the band (the beautiful Karin Dreijer Andersson). I bet it could make a nice, if kinda sad, country-ish blues-y ballad.
And this is the story of how I transformed an electronic shanty theme song in a ukulele ballad. May Odin and all the Gods have mercy. Hope you enjoy.
I'm playing a MahiMahi 77g (courtesy of www.mercatinodellukulele.it) and, out of frame under my viking hairy foot, the Suitcase Drum Machine™.

I know video quality is indubitably crappy but hey, next time I pillage some coast town I'll be sure to get me a new camera.
