Pre-cursor to my upcoming vocal range video for Lorraine Ellison, Philadelphia's Queen of Soul and one of the greatest and most underrated soul singers of all time. "You Don't Know Nothing About Love" is a cover of the 1967 Carl Hall song. Jill Scott most recently covered the song with the shortened title "You Don't Know".

Lorraine's biggest hits include 1965's "I Dig You Baby", 66's "Stay With Me" (which has been covered by Natalie Cole, Mary J. Blige and Duffy to name a few) and '69's "Heart Be Still" (covered by LaBelle).

Her song "(Try) Just a Little Bit Harder" was covered and popularised by Janis Joplin.

I agree Shelsy, but this orignal version definitely moved me emotionally, just not as much as Jill's cover. Awesome song though, thanks for sharing Slaychelle!

Her voice is a little bit too high pitched for me. I prefer deeper voices. But i like the song. Thanks.
