First time I have heard this song, or this version at least. Almost surfed away before the chorus. Glad I didn't. It's sensational! Don't know how I missed this over the years but now its a favourite.

Pytshan. Tried the Terry Reid version and its a brave attempt but I have to say it is just not suited to guitars and that whole "ROCK" atmosphere. It needs a voice and orchestration that expresses SOUL. Lorraine had that in bucketloads! No-one can touch her original. Thanks for the contact mate! Bierney45

I like to hear this original version from time to time just to remind me what it means to be human.The passion and emotion given in her voice has rarely been equaled. Not that it has to be because not every singer is the same. Shakespeare once said "Use lessons marvel." I would say this version is probably the only exception to that rule. It is beyond mighty and gives me chills like no other and when I come to hear it again, it is always like the first time. Devastating!
