Track 06 off of 99 Songs of Revolution, Volume I. Streetlight Manifesto's cover of Linoleum by NOFX.

Lyrics:

Possessions never meant anything to me

I'm not crazy

Well that's not true, I've got a bed, and a guitar

And a dog named Bob who pisses on my floor

That's right, I've got a floor

So what, so what, so what?

I've got pockets full of kleenex and lint and holes

Where everything important to me

Just seems to fall right down my leg

And on to the floor

My closest friend linoleum

Linoleum

Supports my head, gives me something to believe

That's me on the beachside combing the sand

Metal meter in my hand

Sporting a pocket full of change

That's me on the street with a violin under my chin

Playing with a grin, singing gibberish

That's me on the back of the bus

That's me in the cell

That's me inside your head

That's me inside your head

That's me inside your head

I always laugh remembering or listening to this song xD someone performed it at the talent show we had and sadly the guitar player got way more cheers than the one singing

Now I like this version. It kinda grew on me. I don't take back what I said. But my mind has changed and I like this version. It soothes the beast in me.

People are saying this is Scavenger Type because Toh Kay combined that song (The last song on Punk in Drublic) and Linoleum (The first). But the lyrics are Linoleum's.

great cover by a great band... a lot different from the Original but it holds its own as a slower, more melodic tune, shows you what a good song NOFX wrote to begin with! a lot of other great covers on this CD... Me and Juilio down By The School Yard is another great cover -re-do by SLM as is Red Rubber Ball.
