Its unreal to think I could take a lesson from you..I can't seem to understand the tempo on the transition from the G chord back to the D, it seems as there is a sixteenth note that may be missing to complete the phrase or that maybe you intentionally drift it forward, not sure but thanks for the video

Musicians and their music don't live on simply by being recorded onto magnetic tape or encoded digitally. Their legacy is forever when others love them enough to learn how to play their music and share it themselves. James Taylor is immortal.

Thanks Mr. TAYLOR for posting these lessons. I went to Montana State University to try to learn Classical Guitar from under the direction of Christopher Parkening. He use to scare the crap out of me...he was such a perfectionist...in his master class he use to shoot students down. I can follow exactly what your doing. Thanks again.

Start in D position, then go to C bass(keeping the D note, second string fretted) then decend the bass to B ,A(open), G(fifth fret), F and D(open). All while keeping the D note fretted and playing the strings in between. Hope that all makes sense.

Thank you so much for sharing your technique. It's very generous and thoughtful. I'm just starting to explore alternative tunings and they're beginning to make sense! Hadn't thought of inverting common fingerings so learning to think laterally with these too. Thanks again. From a fan in Wales, uk
