1953 was the breakout year for Frank Sinatra. First he starred in the movie From Here to Eternity in which he won an Oscar for best supporting actor. A day later, he made this album. Swing Easy and Jazz at Massey Hall were top 2 albums in album for the year for the Grammy in 1954 and this won. This song and I'm Walking Behind You were the biggest hits on the album. It made Sinatra what he is today, the best. Not even close. Nowadays it's the same ol' shit: Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, Jason Derulo, One Direction, and Maroon 5. Time to trade in those "artists" for the real artists of music: Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Zappa.

Elvis can't hold Sinatra's holster. Frankie was a real and true singer, All Elvis did was steal that nigger music and said that he was the king of it.

Most underated song in his body of work. I grew up with this song yet so many people dont seem to recall it when discussing his songs. Funny enough it always seems to be included in the capital period compilations

I think Elvis gives just about everyone a run for their money (and a few others are high up there too) but I will say that Sinatra is a legend. :)

This is one of my very favorite songs by Frank Sinatra. It's of of them, because I can't choose between all of them. This song always brings a smile to me, because it makes me think of a very special person I know of :)

This song really needs more views, its too good to just have 5,000 views. This deserves to have at least 5 million.

It was part of the original record when released in 1954/1955. However, when the CD was released, it was edited out.

It's interesting to note that the original recording by Billy May and his Orchestra is called Lean, Baby. Once lyrics were added it became My Lean Baby.

Great melody by Billy May. Great lyrics by Roy Alfred. Great vocal by the master, and a fine arrangement.
