Laura punches out the new single from her fourth and forthcoming album Once I Was An Eagle. First broadcast 26th April, 2013 (Series 42, Episode 3).

Apologies for the glitch down the right-hand side. Fortunately, the sound is okay which is the main thing.

First time I listen to her. Guitarplaying reminds me just a little bit of Don McLeans first LP "Tapestry". Good stuff.

As for those who sng in accents ,that dont belong to their own homelands , surely the voice is an instruement like any other . It can be stretched , manipilated to express in any way a singer sees fit . Perhaps also , the way sounds , letters , are stretched when sung, eg, R's and A's , lends them to just sounding American , . Its not unusual . Would we condemn a guitarist for playing blues notes or African rythyms , an British opera singer for singing in Italian /

I bet you go to Irish bars in Philadelphia and drink yourself into a doozie every night. A place where losers like you incompetent people go. You people who think that her voice isn't natural and beautiful. You probably listen to pop hits and hate indie music. Well, you can go home and cry because this is music and your pop crap can shove it. (No hate on the TV show though.)

Good to see people who can play live! Should get Nathan Holme on later, he'd be great

I think you may have failed to spot the sarcasm, which I suppose must then say something about you.

I'm from Canada, and all this about an American accent has blindsided me lol. I never doubted for a moment that she was British from the first moment I heard her sing. It's all over her singing voice. Very peculiar to me.
