Ok...what's so "bad" about the drumming? Sounds fine to me. All drum solos suck...this one is typical in that respect. I'm pretty sure this is better than Ringo, Charlie Watts, the Ramones drummer, or countless other rock drummers could do. Rock music is not known for its difficulty...that's why it's the genre for kids.Somehow KISS is attacked for not being virtuoso musicians when almost no rock musicians are. Sounds like an excuse to attack KISS to me.

Go to a Van Halen concert or a Rush Concert. Then ya will have lived to see a great Drum Solo. No discredit to Peter. Ck out his Alive Album 100,000 yrs solo...my fav of all his solos.

peter had a great style,i feel his drumming was great for kiss from the first album to dynasty.peters feel and style is what made him good,and don't discount his influence.

As a drummer myself I must say I hated drum solos at concerts. Big waste of time and it didn't matter who you were.

Here's a little thought for you. Keith Moon was a monster drummer, however if you try to find him performing a drum solo on youtube you wont find many. I found maybe one.Fish bowl floor tom. Kind of sounds like what Peter was just playing. Point is a lot of great drummers have crappy drum solos. Roger Taylor of Queen hated doing solos.

Actually there were two drummers; Peter before taking (too much) drugs and Peter after taking way too much drugs. Same guy, not the same drummer! Peter Criss had a great style for KISS in all ways in the early years...
