Along with her penchant for perfect pop - and later Latin music - Kirsty could also turn her hand to country, and 'Don't Come The Cowboy With Me, Sonny Jim!' (from her 1989 album Kite) is a great example of Kirsty's skill as a songwriter. The video, interspersed with old Shirley Temple footage, finds Kirsty in world-weary form as she laments the shortcomings of her lover: something she was exceptionally good at.
