This wonderful cover of the Ray Davies classic brought a whole new audience to the song when it was released in June 1995 by British pop singer Kirsty MacColl. Taken from her Kite album, 'Days' is one of the finest examples of Kirsty's incredible skill at creating multi-layered vocal harmonies.

Incorporating hand tinting and animation to lend an other-worldly feel, the video for 'Days' was clever and somewhat unusual. According to Kirsty, her hair was supposed to be tinted Kirsty colour (red) and although she looks sumptuous in her own wedding dress, she was never keen on the video as a result.

Salvo has reissued several Kirsty MacColl albums plus "A Concert for Kirsty MacColl" from the Shepherd's Bush Empire, London in 2010 on CD and to download.

"Just my imagination" by Cranberries sounds like "Days" for me...the music and the clip itself.

Days" is a song by The Kinks, written by Ray Davies, released as a single in 1968. The late Kirsty McCall doing a nice cover but still prefer The Kinks.
