Jimmy is still performing cross country every year. he recently moved to the Austin Texas area, if you call being "home" a total of a few weeks a year, "home". He is doing lots of traveling in the Texas, In states nearby, but then heads back into Tennessee, then onward up the east coast and back again. Twice a year, he and Tommy Burroughs (in video) and Eric Lewis do the J-E-T tour, up into Wisconsin.

I'm pretty sure this was from Top of the Pops. Reason being I have the episode on tape and in the same episode Def Leppard did a killer live version of Animal. Never heard of Jimmy Davis before seeing it then but he sure nailed the delivery as you can see. This is surely a lost gem found.

I love Jimmy's band here, but I'm wanting to get more familiar with what he's up to now. Great musicians, singer. pegleyjr

Back in the late 80's, the band i was in did this tune. Only our drummer knew it. We played it out in a battle of the bands and no one knew it, Everyone thought it was an original. Thanks for the "good feel" memories!

I remember this song from back in the day, but of all the songs on the radio, you really never hear this song. I only vaguely remember that chorus, "kick the wall!" but other than that, you never hear this song. Thanks for the posting.

The original artist usually do a good version of their own songs. Jimmy also did good versions of just about any song.
