Kevin Coyne (27 January 1944 – 2 December 2004) was a musician, singer, composer, film-maker, and a writer of lyrics, stories and poems. The former "anti-star"was born on 27 January 1944 in Derby, UK, and died in his adopted home of Nuremberg, Germany, on 2 December 2004.

One of the most underrated composers of our time. He most probably spent to much time in the pubs in Wardour street in the 70's though

Had the pleasure of seeing him and cracking band on Covent Garden in the 70's with Andy Summers on guitar (his famous telecaster!) the next time I was walking between halls at CeBit a German electronics trade show and stopped in my tracks he was playing with a full band on the T-Mobile stand at about 10-30 in the morning. Like to have had a marketing director that could swing this idea in todays corporate world. A much underated and brave artist. Bless him
