This is a very powerful song, not only for the ones in recovery but the ones that are affected by addiction of loved ones. I'm 32 years old and my whole life has been poisoned by those with addiction. I chose not to follow foot steps but create new ones and this song helps remind of this. Excellent song and to those who have struggled with addiction, I pray for you and support you 120%....

I remember hearing this song on the radio when it was released. Since then, I lost my father, got married, had kids, got divorced...and this song has taken on a new relevance. Touching lyrics like these can only have been written by someone who's "been there". This is the kind of music that touches you when you're down. But hey - here's to a new start :) x

This song reminds me of my husband and how I wish he would stop drinking to save his life and our marriage.

I recently lost someone that I love to alcohol. She was 41 years old. So many of us begged for her to get help ad we tried to get her the help she needed but the demons in her life were too strong for her. She passed away 2 months ago I will always love her and I will miss her. If you are struggling with drugs or alcohol please seek help, there is someone out there that loves you and the pain they will have if something happens to you is too great to ask anyone to bare.

Has always been my favorite track from Kenny, long before my own personal demons with booze surfaced (I was a late bloomer). Now that I'm sober the words of this song ring more and more true. Remember if you are living in active addiction, there is a better way...

This song is so special to me...I'll be celebrating 11 years clean and sober on 3-29. it's been an amazing journey, but an old timer once told me "damn the years...it's one day at a time".

I live with an alcoholic, and I love him dearly but seriously sometimes the things he says cuts deeper than any knife could ever. This song brings me hope that someday it'll all hopefully change.

I just celebrated my 20th anniversary of sobriety Feb 3rd. Was in rehab for 2 weeks in 1995. Went to a meeting everyday for a year straight. No excuses. This song is one of my favorites for recovery. My life has changed so much for the good. Please, never stop giving up. Life is to precious.
