Kathy's first single release on the Monument label after leaving Felsted. A full-page ad was purchased in Billboard (as shown in the video) but the single did not chart nationally. As a side note, the next single release on Monument was "Only the Lonely" by Roy Orbison which was Roy's first big hit. Original Billboard review: "Kathy Linden sells this attractive ballad sweetly in her own breathless style. The backing is strong and the disk has a chance." B-side is "Allentown Jail".

great recent postings , Allentown jail also shows off her extremely high quality voice. i am fascinated by your Doris Day reference to think love. a disc jockey back in late 1959 thought she sounded like Doris Day, after playing think love. she does have personality , pronunciation and voice quality to make that comparison, with that song. thanks again for all these recent postings

She was good..no doubt about it..have You noticed how much similarity her voice has to "April Stevens"..especially on this single. Those "Billboard ads" were indeed a help, and sold an artist (and had radio stations watching for the record). Too Bad this did not chart. Sounds like "The Anita Kerr Singers" did the backup. Nice Post as always!!
