This is Billy's introduction followed by the song. Also notice Steve's sleight of hand! This marks the first time since 1978 Kansas played a full show as a main act in the Netherlands. They've been here in 2005 & 2008 as well, but those were open air festival shows that left much to be desired (both sound- and performance wise). This performance on the other hand shows their full potential.

Unfortunately, sound of lead guitar was too low.

Billy Greer, class act, one of the nicest guys I've ever met.

Yeah, me too. His voice is kind of 'bubbly' now. I miss his crystal clear voice from 1974-1977.

Sure it wasn't the dope in Amsterdam?

You are very right, but the problem is, if you lose your song-writer. And that was for 90% Kerry Livgren!

Yeah, Steve Walsh is like an eagle; the older the better!!! I always admired him since he looked young and rebel, now I realize he could be my father!!!

Yeah, I appreciate when a veteran band has more than one original member left. But to answer your question: The Rolling Stones and The Beach Boys both have three original members after 50 years!! Chicago - 4 (since 1967), Cheap Trick 3 (or all 4 if you consider Robin Zander to be the original singer), U2 (all 4 since 1976), Aerosmith 4 (since 1970,Brad Whitford joined 1971...), AC/DC only 2, but the other 3 have some mileage...On The other hand: Foreigner 1, Dr Feelgood 0, Little River Band 0 :)

I find myself pulling for Steve to hit those high notes that he once did. It's still great to hear him, but I miss his voice from the past.

Dave Hope was the least important guy in Kansas. He was a fine bass player but his contribution to the band's sound was not significant since he hardly wrote anything. What great work of art has Hope produced since he left Kansas? Phil Ehart is far more important to how the band sounds and everybody knows that Kerry and Steve wrote all those great songs.

Kansas my favorite band. I am still happy that they are on tour. And still they have three original members! Which band from the 70is have this? So I am glad to see them. Of course i miss kerry and robby!

It sounds like they ran the mix through a board with some compression. Better than sticking a mic out in the audience, but if they're going to go to that trouble, they could've gotten a better mix.

@ianmackenziedavis Yeah...it seems like the venue they were playing at had really bad sound...Phil's drumming sounds very weak like a cover band and the violin isn't loud enough.

These guys sound great! The best I've heard Walsh in years! My only complaint is the loud up front drums in the mix and the buried guitar.
