It's the conundrum of loving artists like Springsteen, I guess. He is a true artist, in the sense he is totally committed to his own vision and is constantly searching for new ways to express himself, BUT he is also massively commercially successful. With that comes people who see him in the same vein as John Mayer and Rod Stewart (post-Faces) as opposed to Bob Dylan or Neil Young (which I think he is). And I think that's why you get reactions like that at his shows. That, and dumb bad luck.

This is just so amazing. So many Aussie bands and musicians did not get the recognition they deserved. Well at least thems that know, know. Good on you Boss. Chris Bailey must be just a tiny bit stoked.

Yeah some of the pit were cunty. Me and my friends were dancing the entire time just a little right of the camera view. That may have been because we were drunk but whatever IT WAS SO GOOD.

lol i was at this show, the crowd was pretty shit for about 5-6 songs but once he went into hungry heart they went nuts.

Backstreets Magazine online reports that the first show here in Australia was well recieved and went over 3 hours. Morello was awesome, filling in for Miami Steve, and the band showed no rust from a 3 month rest.
