Did anyone catch that he sang the 2nd part of verse 2 in the 1st verse? Then he repeats it in the 2nd verse. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this, Lol.

I never knew Perry was such a tool until I saw Behind the Music. Don't know how they tolerated him as long as they did.

First time I've seen Jonathan Cain playing rhythm guitar while Steve Perry plays the piano. I bought the Escape album when it fist came out. I was about 13 years old at the time. Those were the days rock bands really knew how to rock, unlike bands today. I feel bad for the younger generation today.

Steve Perry is a great singer no doubt about it, but those who are knocking Arnel are not being fair. Steve wouldn't go along with the program, holding the rest of the band back, they had to get someone and Arnel is far better than any other singers they had after Perry. As far as singing it to the note when Perry was the front man, well he can sing them anyway he wanted to , they were his songs. Arnel has to sing them to the note as best he can because he is trying to sound like the records and he has not written any of the songs.

Best not to deviate too far from the script on a power ballad, Neil.
