When this song came out I was having a very rough time in my life not knowing where my heart was at in a relationship. It was a very dark time for me and I just didn't know really if I was going to make it. Two years later I found this song again with the finding of a person I ended up spending the rest of my life with eventually. But at the time I first met my now wife it wasn't the words "send her my love" for my ex-girlfriend it was more like goodbye forever.

Here's a good one. My oldesr son Allen, called a local radio show,because they said Steve Perry was there today. He called atleast 100 times to get them to call me. Well they tried to convince me i was talking to Steve. My number one dream in the world. I kept saying this is not Steve, i would know his voice,etc,etc.They finally got mad and the whole time my husband and son are listening. They were laughing so hard. I appreciate my son for trying, but hey, there is only one Steve Perry. I am pretty sure i would know my love on the phone....

Saw 'em in Dec. '81 (yes, I'm old) in Seattle, when they first came out on stage...Steve was telling us how this was the last show of that tour, (then they were goin' home...) and that they wanted to give us the very best show they could.....the place was packed and crazy good atmosphere.....THEE BEST CONCERT, I've ever seen...still got my ticket stub to this day.............my thanks, to Journey.... for all the great memories.
