Fantastic. Finally, Arnel can claim this. It doesn't have shit to do with (now 65 year old beloved) Perry. The old Journey was great. They're moving in a new direction and frankly, I love it. Loved Journey back then and love Journey now. Perry could never sing this stuff now. Face it. Arnel can and does. I fear it won't be long until he's blown his voice, too when age and over use of his voice takes it's toll. Such a pity. Schon has out done himself on this one. I love it.

Awesome song! Great album. Can't believe it only sold 110,000 copies world-wide! Well, I'm one of those. Found it hard to get passed the first five songs because they were so good. Yes, I saw Journey with Steve Perry on the Raised on Radio Tour....yes, it was great...but that's history. I've moved on. I saw them in 2011 on the Eclipse Tour and they were fantastic. This ablum is hugely under-rated!

Love, love this CD. Arnel's voice is so versatile. Haters go away.. There is no room for you here.

I agree. The production value has never been what it was in their prominent years either.

A great guitarist might have something like - the 15th highest selling album in history, unlike every one you pointed to. If sales to the most people doesn't validate an artist more than, or at least as much as technical ability, then you are not being intellectually honest. What makes modality, and a billion notes a measure more ARTISTICALLY valuable than playing with feeling? Is a sketch artist that paints with the accuracy of a camera better than Escher?

steve perry isn't a legend. Gandalf is and so is everyone in LotR.

He's not THAT great of a guitarist, there are way better guitarists out there today. Just look up John Petrucci, Tosin Abasi, Paul Waggoner, Guthrie Govan, Joe Satriani and more

Journey gives me fond memories, none of which have been replaced by one person since conceiving them. I've met many new people, but none compare to the moments of those fond ones. Too bad it's all in the past. Sometimes I wish the past was now.

This is pretty good, I'm surprised by both this and Revelation. I'm also surprised that some (I'm guessing older) folks below are calling this Heavy Metal. Really? Not all that is amplified and distorted is heavy metal, this is rock, or maybe hard rock, definitely adult contemporary. It is good stuff indeed. I like Perry but I now prefer this guy because he's taken the band forward after they were stuck with some borderline-tribute type singers. I'm glad to see them live on.
