It's sad when people disrespect John Mayer... His blues influence on this generation is bigger than any other artist... I mean that he has contributed in showing blues to many people around the world that would never give a shit about it... Personally if it wasn't for him I would never find SRV, I would never really listen to Jimi or Clapton, I would never find Buddy or BB and from there I would never find Son House, Robert Johnson, Bukka White and these guys... My whole musical library and inspiration is formed by John Mayer... And even if he won't be the same as those guys he will be a guy that brings it to the next generation! and that is just as important!

one of the most overrated guitarplayers is your boy John Mayer, Clapton's style influenced every guitar player since we can her him o see him play...even he influenced and helped Hendrix...music it's not about who's better, it's just 'bout taste, and pleassure... John Mayer is good...and i love "Gravity" such an awesome song...but just idiots think he's better than someone...and i'm not saying Clapton is better...i'm just saying that Mayer is more overrated than him...just enjoy music
