This was the first single we ever had. Dad bought a Dansette record player for Christmas and we played this over and over again..........it was the only one we had!

Crazy piano break. Otherwise, not as good as "Johnny Remember Me."

I feel the same as you do about the early '60's. I remember a lot of good musicians in the time..The Everly Brothers with Cathy's Clown. etc..

That was Joe Meek's drawing pin piano, played by Geoff Goddard. The John Leyton/Joe Meek singles fit no known genre. Bloody brilliant.

The great thing about the sixties music was that you could understand the lyrics and they were not all about drugs, rape and crap. Also he majority of the singers were easy on the eye. I sound old well I am 64 but feel young when I play all the stuff from that fab decade,

A Joe Meek production. Check out The joemeeksociety on face book and twitter, for more information on this great innovative producer of this and other great hits such as 'Telstar'.

Well, you didn't have the terrorist, but at any given moment, a nuke could go off from the Russians, I've never seen drugs either, I've seen but one guy effected by them irl, and he was not doing anything bad. It depends more on where you live and what you do, than what time it is :) Coming from an 18 year old Swedish boy who just bought an album of John Leyton Keep on' rockin!

Don't forget the modern craze of correcting stranger's spelling. "girls and boys who drink TOO much". I hate myself.... I want to move to 1963

That's nothing to do with him, it's down to the producer, Joe Meek.
