I've just heard this for the first time in about 50 years and it brings back a beautiful memory of a disco where this was played. I was 17 at the time and shortly after I met a girl called Jill. We went steady for 2 years and then broke up. This song will always remind me of the disco in Maidstone and Jill. Pity I don't know where she is now. I can't remember the song being banned though.

"Tribute To Buddy Holly", is also noted for having been banned by the BBC for being "morbid". (Wiki). They used to ban things for strange reasons in those days!
