Love his music. This album came out after about 12 years of rock and roll progressing, loud, distortion and effects and many casualties, deaths from drugs....Joe Walsh partied as hard as any and lived through it, and I feel that some songs on this album, this one, Over and Over, Second Hand Store are Joe reflecting back on life, glad to be alive and even wondering how he made it that far.

Yes. I've seen The Measles. Wow. It's great that someone remembers them! To me, Kent is a place to avoid nowadays. Ah..., for the old days in NE Ohio. I'm cutting out of NE Ohio soon. Heading West to NorCal. Best to you and yours in 2013. -- Mickey

Did you ever get to see The Measles? Have you seen what they have done to Kent in recent years? The inmates are running the asylum... .

The first autumn after my Pop left this world (in 1965). In my mind, my Pop was walking beside me as I made my way to the fishing hole (an expansive pond at the edge of a deep forest). This song brings some of my favorite memories back (even shortly after a tragedy). Great music has that power, my friends. I lived only a few miles from Kent, OH, during the 1960s/1970s. Countless thanks to Joe Walsh and Joe Vitale and company. Merry CHRISTmas 2012 to all.

Hey! Many thanks! I love the tympani (kettle drum) on this one (thanks, Joe V., for the "thunder"). I haven't see/heard of Joe V. since his days with Madman ("Roller Coaster Weekend"). Where has the time gone? To Joe Walsh, Joe Vitale, grzmember1976, and everyone on planet earrth -- have a safe and wondrous CHRISTmas 2012!

I know exactly what you mean, pardner. With this song, we can all go home again to the best autumns from our youth. I wish I had the chance to tell Joe Walsh and Joe Vitale what this tune means to me. Good luck on your sickle! Ride safe! -- Mickey

What's not to like about this song? You can sing along or play the table drums with your fingers or nod your head and tap your foot. Joe knows music.

Always been a Big Time Joe Walsh fan, Frank Zappa & everything 70's. Freaking amazing times back then!

My treehouse, the huge pond at the edge of the forest filled with fallen leaves, tall billowy clouds that seemed to reach into forever, early fall thunderstorms -- it's all there in this song. I wrote about this great tune in my memoirs: North Coast Memories. I hope to relocate to NorCal before I'm too old. This song goes with me. Thank you, Joe Walsh and Joe Vitali.

When I was a kid.. This song TOUCHED me.. I RELATED to it! It was like he wrote it about my hometown and the experiences I was having growing up in a Central Ohio town.. Turns out he wrote it about when he lived in Whitehall, Ohio( a 'burb of Columbus) as a kid.. And back in his day Whitehall would have been a lot like My hometown.. Anyway, THANKS FOR POSTING!
