I've had the pleasure of seeing Ian many times. Fantastic musician.Saw Joe in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely brilliant.I'd love to hear Joe and Ian play Bow River - maybe throw in Barnsie as well.

Some real idiots posting on this.....but that's YT, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm with Gwyn Ashton on this one, this is two guitar players having fun.....playing together, not an open mic jam night pose fest where dilettantes try to outdo each other. It is possible for two established players to invite each other up for an impromptu jam. Mossy is different to JB end of story.....what's to judge....they both sound good.

People from overseas probably don't know Ian Moss. Many people in Australia wouldn't know that Joe is the famous one. This is 'epic' !!! Very proud of 'Mossy' !!

Guys. I think they are both playing great here. Joe had the advantage of it being HIS gig, warmed up, sound-checked and playing with HIS band, through HIS amps. I also think Mossy played some really tasteful stuff, a lot of it you couldn't hear because the sound guy obviously didn't have time to set his level. I loved his TONE, especially as he just plugged in and played. Level is down to the engineer. This public knocking of anyone is pretty uncool, especially someone of Ian's calibre. This is a big enough world for us all to exist in and express our art. After all, this was a jam, a time where we relax and just have a little fun doing what we love - playing guitar. They seem to both respect each other. I don't see why it has to be so competitive, they're not trying to out-do each other, either. Peace.

I know and have seen Ian Moss rip the stage apart with his guitar playing on many occasions....had to look up Joe Bonamassa on Wikipedia to find out who he was :)

You got that right but I have seen Mossy play better than this. I dont think the tone he got was as good as I have heard it. The fat gibson tone seems to be better. I was lucky enough o support Cold Chisel in the great days on a number of occasions and loved it. Certainly Mossy has the better voice.

tough call to trade licks with Bonamassa - Joey has whoop-ass technique & feel - you can see on Mossie's face that he's just cant get the chops to kick in - Pity cause he's a world class stylist on guitar and better singer than the kid.

I totally agree with bloodaxekill on this one...if you're not a Bonamassa fan get off this thread..If you like Mossy go to one of his threads...Bonamassa is playing all over Europe and the world at the moment..He is a guitar master, an absolute living legend...Mossy can't even come near him...Bonamassa is too good for him...if you think Mossy is better go and fuck yourselves...
