One of the most underrated artists of all time. Wish I could find CORRECT fuckin lyrics to this song. It's a shame such shit artists are so huge...when someone like him deserved it more. Or at least some recognition.

@timostatic: all 50's R'n'R is ahead of time!

@reggaejuggler: you obviously don't know much about 50's R'n'R. There are a lot of singers that became inspirations to Jim Morrison. For an exemple Gene Vincent (Jim was a first class fan!) for the black leather...

I always thought Jim Morrison was an original, this is the sound of The Doors man!

(continued) Thunder lightning, wind and rain Will I ever find my love again She promise me love if I should dare The girl with the coal black raven hair The fire that consumed me I think of it yet The love that has doomed me I cannot forget Night after night as darkness descends Seeking and searching until the end Thunder lightning, wind and rain Will I ever find my love again I saw in her eyes a love to share The girl with the coal black raven hair

Alone in my sorrow with no one to care Dreaming of someone but no one was there A big flash of light broke through the mist Revealing the angel I could not resist Thunder lighning, wind and rain Will I ever find my love again I saw in her eyes a love to share The girl with the coal black raven hair She begged me to follow as she lured me on Pledging her love until the dawn To her i was drawn like a moth to a flame And somehow I knew it would end just the same

i'm from germany and try to cover this song. it's very easy to play but i don't understand everything of the lyrics. could someone please post more than the first verse. the most important think would be the first line of the chorus. "when the life is wet in rain"???

This is my favourite Jody Reynolds tune which should be in a Quentin Tarantino film so many people could rediscovered this great pop singer who may had been a one hit wonder but recorded some amazing sides.

i just looked on popsike, thats a site that lists rare vinyl from ebay etc and what they sold for, in 2005 a Demon 78 of endless sleep sold on ebay for 63$, go on the site ans search for jody, they show a picture of the record also

In my opinion Jody Reynolds was an excellent singer who should have had the opportunity to record more good songs. I would consider his vocals as good as Johnny Tillotson, Ricky Nelson, or Cliff Richard, three of the best early Rock singers.
