I have resisted Jason Isbell for several years now. I just never let myself accept that he is any more special than a lot of the other slick, over-produced Americana types - like Ray LaMontagne or Mumford - but, GD! He got me with Zevon. Props for this cover.

I grew up on Zevon, with Excitable Boy being the first album I ever bought and the eponymous album shortly thereafter. I saw Zevon live 3 times. He never disappointed. I love when there's a confluence of my favorite artists and this is as good an example as I can think of. Just saw Jason open for another favorite Prine and will see him again in April in South Carolina. Thanks for keeping Zevon's memory alive and got doing what you do. Go Braves.
