What's just as amazing as Jason's playing was is the strength and courage he's shown in his current situation. Given 3-5 years to live at age 20. Gonna be 46 in a few months. Still amazing people, still making music. How many people would honestly have the strength to be doing that? Certainly not any of the rapists, murderers or scumbags we would have rather seen afflicted with this disease instead of a once in a lifetime talent like Jason. God bless ya' bud, stay healthy.

Just like Jimi Hendrix and Randy Rhoads before him, Jason Becker was taken from us way too soon. Unlike Jimi and Randy, thankfully Jason is still alive, but his ability to play guitar like this was taken from us. There is no telling what Jason would have accomplished had ALS not taken his ability to play. He was so young, and had so much talent, energy, creativity, and peerless technique. Jason Becker defines the word "prodigy." This wonderful demo is further proof of that claim. Thank you OP!

This is Jason playing, please do not take me wrong on my comment. I am a huge Vai fan, but Jason was way ahead of his time. And, he is guitar God, he will always's be, not just a metal player. He can do anything, I had long talk's with Jason & his family via e-mails.
