Never forget he learnt all this in the days before internet and youtube instructional videos, before dvds, before CDs before easy to obtain tablatures and as for VHS videos tapes, it was well below HD quality and instructional videos were rare. 'Mostly' all i see with the youtube guitarists nowadays is mimicry. And that is the 'easy way out', that way you don't have to do much in the way of hard work of your own.
