Jandek is unique in a honest and genuine way- however, I understand why many are either confused or baffled- it questions what is entertaining to the listener. Kind of like most all evolved art- it asks you, what you represent and think, by giving jarring music that you criticize with "your" qualifying standards. Esssentially, we all get to see what you think deep inside about life and yourself, when it is judged harshly, or superficially.
