We are indeed responsible for the beautiful earth God created for us.... Gaia makes sense. The Gaia hypothesis, also known as Gaia theory or Gaia principle, proposes that organisms interact with their inorganic surroundings on Earth to form a self-regulating, complex system that contributes to maintaining the conditions for life on the planet.

I saw JT last night. He was gracious, kind and humble, and of course; even as an old man, sang with that pure voice of a boy. I just wish he had included "Gaia" in his closing set....

We had this playing on the car CD player many years ago for a entire week on Martha's Vineyard.... James Taylor country.. driving on winding roads with wild roses growing over old stone walls, passing sheep grazing on a hill with an ocean backdrop.... beautiful music .. beautiful landscape.. which gave me an incredible feeling of peace and happiness...when I hear it today it brings it all back.. brings a tear to my eye and a smile to my face.... powerful..

We used this as a mix guide disc at my audio engineering school. I still remember the clipped toms at 4:10 . . . lol this was one of the earlier albums recorded/mixed on the Yamaha 02R digital mixer, and perhaps that was a consequence of the newness of the method

this song helped me greatly to define my own until then somewhat haphazard ideas of spirituality. struggling to reconcile the dichotomy between the accepted credo and day-to-day existence this song helped bridge that gap. thank you, james.
