This is my jam, didn't know leaving this comment would pause the song. Looks like I'll start it over

James was fortunate to have Carlos Vega laying down the groove. Never heard such a expressive touch on percussion.

I totally agree w/ Russo's comment below. Maybe that's why James was put here? (no pun intended to his song "That's Why I'm Here" but it does fit :)

James Taylor is remarkable. One of the greatest singer/songwriter ever. When I listen to his music I feel closer to GOD. I know that sounds crazy, but his music makes me feel so happy to be alive. I pray we have JT for another 50 years...THANKS JAMES TAYLOR for every goose bump, every smile!!!!

One of my favourite songs from Hourglass.Richard Nixon . 37th President of the United States, resigned after the Watergate scandal got so bad, they were threatening him with impeachment.Part of his final speech to the White House staff:"And so it is with you. I look around here, and I see so many on this staff that, you know, I should have been by your offices and shaken hands, and I would love to have talked to you and found out how to run the world—everybody wants to tell the President what to do, and boy, he needs to be told many times—but I just haven’t had the time. But I want you to know that each and every one of you, I know, is indispensable to this Government."James Taylor incorporating this into his song..Line em up.I remember Rchard Nixon back in '74And the final scene at the white house doorAnd the staff lined up to say good-byeTiny tear in his shifty little eyeHe said nobody knows meNobody understandsThese little people were good to meOh I'm gonna shake some handsChorus:Somebody line 'em upLine 'em all up

For something so mellow, this song is really funny. I like it.

How somebody cannot be a fan of JT after hearing this is beyond me. There must be something wrong with that person. This is a great pic of JT.....he has such beautiful feet!!!

Nixon was such a dick. Shame on him. Taylor's song here speaks volumes about who Nixon was.

This is the cleverest and most poetic satire of our age I've ever heard. Much here for those who listen... JT continues to remind me of the power of the gentle hand.
