Actually I am brazilian and french and english are not my native language. So, forgive any possible error in translation. Brel also changed my life, my way of singing and composing, and motivated me to study French. The translation I did for two chinese friends who do not speak portuguese or french. Jacques Brel makes me want to learn French. The way he told stories in his music was absolutely amazing and on another level. I wish there were more people like him who could pull off what he did in such a beautiful, artistic, and classy way. But I guess the reason why there aren't is because he was so one of a kind!
