Charted at #65 on Billboard Hot 100 in October 1961. One of my favorite songs; it was originally recorded by Bette McLaurin in 1952. Ella Fitzgerald and June Christy rushed out versions to compete and June's charted at #27 on the Cash Box singles chart in February 1953. The biggest hit version was by Bobby Vinton charting at #9 Billboard Hot 100 in March 1964 (#2 Adult Contemporary).

Written by Dorothy Daniels & Frank Daniels.

B-side is "The Way I Am".

HA! Who would you pick? Jackie Wilson or Bobby Vinton!Charted at #65 on Billboard Hot 100 in October 1961. Remake of a hit from the early 1950's. Bobby Vinton remade it again a few years after this and had a big hit with it.

Revisiting this wonderful song. What a voice should get alot more credit and respect than he does. Even Elvis idolized this man.

The original recording was by Bette McLaurin in 1952. Ella Fitzgerald and June Christy rushed out versions to compete during that same year.

I have never heard this song by Jackie Wilson. I just wanted to check it out, when someone commented on the similarity of Lisa Layne's All I Want For Christmas Is You video. It does sound similar, but this is sung beautifully by Jackie Wilson. Originally it came out in 1958 by Mary Swan, then recorded again by Boby Vinton in 1961. Jackie Wilson did it best in my opinion.

TEXASFENDERBENDER I'm glad you think so - you are the only one. The 2 songs share nothing other than a similar tempo. The music and structure are totally different.

Tell me "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Vince Vance wasn't borrowed from this great song.
