The British Musical Invasion began in 1963 and Americans spurned their own singers and music..

It is indeed interesting that this did not chart for Jackie Wilson. Perhaps it is because it was sung at a slower pace than what people had come to expect from him. Speaking for myself i would say that this could very well be his most brilliantrecording..

I met him 1960...when I was 13...he was doing a show in PGH, PA. at the old SYRIA MONQUE....HE told me; when I told him I was a singer.....he said ''never give up on your dream'' LITTLE LEROY, an then he told me that was his 'middle name' And, I asked him...MR. EXCITEMENT! WOULD YOU GIVE ME A SIGNED AUTOGRAPH PIC. And he sign it; too my buddy LEROY GOOD LUCK ON YOUR SINGING! I seen him years later. I was in my CAB AT PGH. hotel..he said: ''you didn't give-up on your dream! No I said
