Growing up in Boston in the 1950's, my mother turned on a Sunday morning one hour radio program called "The Italian Hour" Signora Bianca (Madam White) was the hostess and she often played this song. My non English speaking father sang along and once danced with my mother around the kitchen.. What love between those two! thanks for this delightful upload.

Hello Grzegorz - Everything about Carlo Buti's voice and delivery sounds fantastic. Is this thing in the tradition of the "Neapolitan" songs full of life, optimism and joy? His style reminds me some of Luciano Pavarotti's repertoire - even though - I prefer his sound since I alwys considered Pavarotti a bit overrated - even though he was a fine performer. Chicago got tons of heavy snow - the "the heart attack" kind. O'hare airport - shut down. Thanks for this beauty and a great evening to you!

Despite today's "austerity" the Italians know how (to) vivere. Must be something in the water or--more likely--the vino.

Highly evocative of both joyfulness and glamour. Seeing these well-selected advertisements, I remember so well when, years ago, I began delving into the 1930's, to learn that there was more to that decade, for some lucky people, than the Dust Bowl, which as part of the Great Depression conditions was so prominent in how that time was presented in my early years at school. It's important that the decade, in all its many aspects, be remembered. Enchanting record!
