It was a bit embarrassing wasn't it?If theyd sung.g this in Hindi it probably would sound.interesting or even mystical. The same for a rew pf their other songs but they made some gorgeous music and even thpugh the hippy thing was as much of a con as the sex pistols phenomenon some of them were sincere as well making a few dollars!

if you don't have something nice to say, better not to say anything at all; as my dear gran'ma would say. it was a moment of joy. incredible…get ourselves back to the garden...

Those were the days . . . not that I remember them myself.

i was there and i remember these guys. had heard of them but didn't know their songs. Canned heat was great but these guys bored me so i wandered off up to the top of the hill for something to do. i've read somewhere else that they were also booed by the crowd for not having played the night before. (and likely because they weren't interesting) we arrived at dusk on Friday and we didn't get to the stage a mile away until the morning so i missed Friday bands. then like a dummy i walked off Saturday night as the Who were coming on. Mountain had taken a long time and tech issues stretched it more. i was too restless to stay any more standing (there was no where to sit, every single inch was taken), so i went back to our van to see who was there. i was also zoned out on psychedelics all day so i wasn't exactly thinking logically...what i had taken Friday night was still going strong.

Last i heard Licorice had married bassist Brian Lambert, and was llving in California. Robin mentioned this to me several years ago... may have changed since then.

Hippie: those that embraced the naive spoiled brat "me" generation. Grew up and became the Yuppies of the 80's.

I have had the pleasure of seeing the original ISB, the reformed ISB and Robin Williamson on his own and they have given me the greatest pleasure out of any music I have ever listened to.

There used to be a singing comedian in my town called Jimmy Hooleybiz,he put new words to this song and used it in his act.it went something like "I farted, you smelt it,I can't deny I dealt it,oh the smell......the smell.I farted I denied it,but you knew I'd supplied it,oh the smell....oh the smell.

Nah man, it's the other way around. Canned Heat followed Incredible String Band. Saturday evening was as follows: Incredible String Band, Canned Heat, Mountain, Grateful Dead, CCR, Janis Joplin, Sly and The Family Stone, and lastly....THE WHO!
