Wow Rita is so young and gorgeous and the whole backbone of Derek and the Dominoes is there with Carl Radle and Jim Gordon and I suppose Bobby Whitlock although I didn't see him on this video. Just a great lineup. Why aren't D&B in the R&R Hall of Fame?

I'm a huge Clapton fan and very knowledgable of his career, as I see you are. Actually, Black Beauty is the name given to the black Les Paul Customs from 1954 and on. Eric is playing a Gibson Back Beauty in this video (not sure what year). It's not what he named his guitar, all of the black LP Customs were simply called Black Beauties as a generic name. They still are today....

Close, David, that's one Alnico & one P-90 that are on 54 through 56 Black Beauty Les Pauls and from what history has it, Paul did give Eric the '57 three pickup Les Paul during the Blind Faith tour.

Paul kossoff gave him his 1955 gibson les paul custom, which had two p90s. The guitar Eric is playing here is possibly a 57-60 gibson les paul custom with three humbuckers ;)

Most likely Delaney & Bonnie will never be inducted into the Rock'n'roll Hall of Fame, although they are more talented than most of those already inducted.
