My Love,

It has been so long that you have been away and I begin to wonder if you have been getting my messages. I will continue to write them and continue to send them, even though I may never know if they have reached you or not. I imagine that they do. I close my eyes and I see your face as you read my words and hear my voice. I imagine we are together and it comforts me as the world turns dark and cold. I will not stop writing, because if this is the end, I want to feel this love until the very last minute. I have to believe you are still alive. This world only matters to me if you are in it.

Everything comes clearer as I get closer. You were right. It is a warning. To Us. We are doomed. We are not meant to last.

I do not know how I got here, but somehow I did. The Dark Star reveals itself, but somehow remains just out of reach.

It is so clear while Im here and yet if I turn my eyes away for a moment, it jumbles. It fades.

Can you feel it ending? Is it all ending? You must try not to hurt. We must try to heal.

At times, my atoms seem to fly apart. And when they reassemble, a tiny fragment of the Dark Star mingles with me.

Am I still here? Are you here with me?

I am transmitting all my love to you. Hear me. My love.

I begin to hear your voice in my mind all the time now. I need your comforting words. Dont be afraid, you would tell me. But everything is changing so fast that I dont know if I can stand it. And even as we're apart, my love for you grows. But, so does your silence, your distance from me. Are you with it, the Dark Star? Has it swallowed you whole? I knew this day would come and I did nothing to prevent it. We did nothing but love. Why couldn't that have been enough? I wish our love could cradle us and deliver us through to whatever lies on the other side of this impending darkness.
