This album started as a Finn Bro's album. At about the same time, Neil was trying to put together the next CH album, but with middleing results. So they decided to merge the projects and Woodface was created.

im so in love with the fact that every time i listen to crowded house i figure out a new secret meaning and discover deeper ideas within the lyrics every time, and somehow the more i hear it the words and the music become intertwined even more, and how somehow every time i listen i become more intimate with not only the songs but with the people who created them, their music is a dream

Make sure you give ample credit to Tim Finn. He did co-write many of the songs on this album, and wrote some of the great song in the Split Enz catalog.

As a person with a drink problem, for some reason this song opens the floodgates of my eyes everytime I hear it. Especially the Line * And you know I'll be fine, just dont ask me how its going....*

Neil Finn is a songwriting genius. Crowded House should have been massive in the United States. But since they never was is living proof the majority don`t know master pieces from a musical genius when they hear it. Neil`s ability to carry emotion into his songs with real honesty is what makes him and Crowded House so unique. I bought Woodface at a pawn shop for 50 cents with the rare paper CD case. I listened to it and was blown away. Every song a classic. Especially "whispers & moans"

@atifsuleman This whole album is such a masterpiece that I struggle to find the words to do it justice. We used to do a cover of 'Weather with you' in my old acoustic trio... I would happily have done crowded house covers all night long!!!
