I think this song is beautiful and just what i needed to wake up to playing on RAGE at a light volume on an old television hungover at 3am. It just soothed me back into sleep an eased my anxiety.

the coolest opening..glad they kept..the song is a lil boring at first, but then it really grows on you...the chicks on the video do not hurt either..

Well when a great stop being at their peak, you don't run after the past, you bask in it and keep it shining. That comeback album'Time On Earth'is deadly dull, I'm not ashamed to say it, I own the flipping thing and its put me off getting 'Intriguer', so that's their fault, not mine. Plus as I big up their first four albums, why should I feel guilty? That's four cool albums in one lifetime, whereupon most groups and singers can't even manage one! I remember them fondly as they were.

hey myster distent...your distant sun...is it the thing that you are running after? Imo they are a quality band even today... i am not a big fan of their early records... i mean apart of a few songs... i vote for their 90s records...they were at their best at that time

Their first four albums were perfect and full of wicked tunes, sung brilliantly and the songwriting was ace. Sadly since their last great song 'Instinct' from their greatest hits, and a few tunes from their outakes album 'Afterglow' they've gotten really dull, and while they'll always be a few high points on the albums they do, once upon a time their albums were just ace. Sometimes people lose it, and Paul Hester's passing put the wheels of safe decline in motion. Charming people but group gone.

They've evolved and matured. Everyone has to grow up sometime. Every song I have ever heard by Crowded House has it's own personality. Most bands/artist fail to produce music that can speak for itself and Neil Finn has an incredible ability to do so. You know what happens to artists who don't evolve? They end up on reality television or sell out. Crowded House produces music they love. Which is why I love them.

Christ Neil. it's a combination of many things, it doesnt suit you, they arent cool, and yours is especially awful and repulsive. Its not cool at all or (and not even in a funny ironic sense either) and it doesnt make people think "wow he is like Dali" orr "wow, he's a true surrealist/artist/original". Perhaps you think its funny cos its causing outrage.....it's not, there is no outrage, you just look like a tool.) Get rid of it. You look like the dude off On the Buses.

again, i reiterate, at 2:50, Neil and Sharon are a lot like me and Gary (okay, no kids here), starting before us by about seven years. more power to them!! it always amazing me when celebraties keep on keeping on with their spouses, no matter what. Neil and Sharon have proved that, and more so!! <3 <3 <3

Well, then I guess I'm wrong about you having never seen them. And since I never saw them in the 90s, I can't compare to what the experience was like back then. But I just can't agree with your assessment of their shows now. The one I saw was amazing and energetic, and the banter between the musicians themselves, and with the audience, was hilarious! I'll say that Neil's writing is different (Intriguer, for example), but it's still very talented. Agree to disagree, right? :-)

Actually, you're wrong. Imagine that. I've seen them live many times and have all their albums. After Together Alone and Recurring Dream the quality of songwriting has diminished. After the Farewell Tour the drummer died. Now the live show is low energy and lacking humor, something I thought I'd never see. Thus, they are weak. Nothing like they were in the 90's.

really? weak and hollow?? i saw them 2 years ago, and they were strong and incredible! Neil Finn, Crowded House, and Split Enz are the total opposite of weak and hollow. i'd love to know how you came to this conclusion. Probably in a totally uneducated way (in other words, you've never seen them live,. or else, you're a total troll to this page.
