Solo Blues Keyboard Lesson: Peter Kadar, professional keyboardist and instructor at Metalworks Institute, teaches you how to play a blues solo in this keyboard tutorial.

Continuing from last week's lesson, Peter talks about using two different blues scales over a C blues progression, and how each scale achieves a different sound and feel. He follows up by combining the two methods together to create a really unique solo technique and sound.

This is a great tutorial for intermediate and advanced players. Send us your video responses of you playing a blues solo using this technique!

Thanks for watching Metalworks Institute Keyboard Tips.

This tutorial is obviously not for those who don't know how to play the piano.   If you want all the basic stuff, you'll find that in a more basic tutorial.

Hi Peter, Jasper from The Netherlands here. Like a few commenters asked before, can you explain how you play your left hand? Although it sounds like a typical bluespattern, it somehow sounds more funky. Indeed you also go a little fast in my opinion. Tnx for the great tutorial
