Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of John, but he was lying when he said it wasn't about Paul. If it wasn't, why did Ringo get mad at him when he stopped in during the sessions?

John was hurt, hurt with the loss of innocence that was the Beatles, the inevitable growing apart, he felt Paul tried running away with the group so he just turned to Yoko

Anyway, in 1974 - 75 they jammed together again in the famous "lost weekend" period of John's life when he left Yoko and was with May Pang...

I LOVE JOHN BUT HERE HE WAS WRONG. THE WORLD WILL BE ONE IF YOU STILL LOVE AND FORGIVE YOUR CLOSE FRIENDS...IN FACT, IN 1974 HE WAS WEARING A SHIRT "I LOVE PAUL": AND WHEN SOMEONE ASKED "WHAT DOES IT MEAN?"I MEAN THAT I LOVE PAUL HE REPLIED...THEY WERE HUMAN BEINGS AS US ALL OUT THERE...We all love John but he made his mistakes. He was not a saint or a perfect human beign as the most of us out there. He started his own plans and his way with Plastic Ono Band and then Paul decide to quit with the band too. So, I can't see why all this resentment...John was a great songwriter and singer...Paul too and also the best natural musician and player of the band. John made efforts for civil rights but we can forget that his son Julian wasn't treated all that good.Anyway, after all these years we can see quite clearly that Paul who was showed by the press as the selfish one was the one who really trusted in The Beatles and love the group. He dedicated more than one song to John and his mates.George played the solo guitar here...but when he wrote his autobiography "I me, mine" he never mentioned John who was very disappointed. They were and are human beings. I prefer thinking of them as 4 boys who were close friends and love each otherand gave us all enjoyment and happiness.

I love this song. Paul was and is an asshole and John was absolutely right.

The ultimate truth of life has been revealed and it is better than anything we could have imagined. Google "truth contest" and click the first link. WE have finally progressed enough to learn and understand the truth of life and that changes everything. What could be more important? We all have to live and die so the truth about it concerns us all.

Turns out, Paul responded with "Silly love songs" what a boss!

Lol the yesterday and just another day bit is clever but i reckon this is nasty... Attacking Pauls musical talent is sooo far below the belt and bang out of order. Paul would never abuse John or anyone else. J reckoned it was just a joke. lies. Too much thought went into this. he was making sure it was as abusive as possible. He also abused allen klein via song.

"A pretty face may last a year or two, but pretty soon they'll see what you can do." LOVE that lyric and the delivery. It's so cutting. I wonder what Paul thought when he first heard this?

I'd love to see Paul do this at one of his shows.

This could have been a decent JL rocking song had it not been for the nasty vengeful lyrics and the cheesy string arrangement. That in itself sure sounds like muzak to my ears.
